For A Few Votes More

We are all familiar with that pivotal moment in every western; where the two rivals stand at a distance, hand trembling over their holstered weapon each knowing that only one will survive. With Super Tuesday rapidly approaching this is the current state of the Democrat Primary race. After the departure of John Edwards, it stands a two horse race.

On one side stands the establishment’s candidate, on the other the insurgent aiming to change politics as usual. A better movie you could not write. The polls show Hillary still on top, however, polls in this case are ultimately worthless. This is an epic battle for the heart and soul of the Democrat party, and no poll has a prayer of predicting the elements that will comprise this contest.

Barrack is hoping to claim the departed Edwards’s supporters for his own. His cool nature and freshness suggest he can do so. Yet as we saw in New Hampshire, as much as it pains me, the Clintons will not be defeated that easily. Hillary has already purchased a full hour on the Hallmark Channel for Feb. 4th and it will not stop there. Between her statement alleging that it was LBJ not MLK who delivered the results of the civil rights movement, and her use of a black supporter to call Obama out on his past drug use, it is clear nothing is off limits.

Ultimately the choice will fall on the voters. Will they choose the Flavor of the Month or the Old Favorite? It’s hard to predict but one thing is for certain, this western is far from over.

Chuck Norris endorsed Huckabee. That didn't work so well.

Jack Nicholson endorsed Hillary. That isn't saving her campaign.

But Samuel L. Jackson endorsed Obama, mothafucka!!!!!
