Iran Caught Red-Handed
As if we didn't know what they were doing...NATO officials stated today that they have caught Iran shipping heavy arms, C4 explosives and advanced roadside bombs to the Taliban for use against NATO and US forces. This, the officials say, is a "dramatic escalation of Iran's proxy war against the United States and Great Britain."
Now, what will be done about this?
Knowing our congress, our anti-war/anti-action stance, our public complacency and our media, probably nothing. Isn't it sad when we've reached a point in our nation where we do not respond to flagrant, physical support for our enemies and attacks on our soldiers? Over 2/3's of the casualties our soldiers have seen in the Middle East have been from roadside bombs and other explosives. Where are the insurgencies getting these advanced weapons? I think we now know...now lets do something about it.
Iran's mission is to create failure for the U.S. and our coalition support in the Middle East. Doing so would essentially hand over the entire region to Iran and its dictator, Mahmoud Ahmadinejhad. Instead of pretending there is nothing wrong, maybe we should look to the source of continued violence towards our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and do something to stop it.
That would be the common sense thing to do, right?
**Quick thought...where is the high and mighty media on this story?**
