San Francisco: Sanctuary for Immigrants, Legal or Not
Mayor Gavin Newsom stated recently that his city, San Francisco, will ignore any immigration laws put in place that views illegal immigrants as criminals. He also said that San Francisco would become a sanctuary for immigrants, "documented as well as undocumented."The plan is to do everything in his power to prevent raids and arrests within the city of San Francisco of any immigrant, legal or not. "I will not allow any of my department heads or anyone associated with this city to cooperate in any way shape or form with these raids," Newsom declared. "We are a sanctuary city, make no mistake about it." Essentially, no San Francisco employee (police, etc.) will help with immigration enforcement.
He says this in front of 300 members at St. Peter's Church, a majority of them Latino...great way to rally votes. It will be interesting though when the day comes where his city is doing nothing to prevent illegals from operating freely within our borders, or when a federal organization looks for city resources to combat it and are blocked. This is nothing short of violating immigration law.
"Our action is to stand strong in opposition to these raids ... to make sure that we are not contributing in any way, shape or form," he declared.
I hope he gets arrested.

Lets send the Mayor of San Francisco to Mexico as an illegal immigrant. I'd love to see him in a Mexican prison.
Isn't San Francisco named after Saint Francis anyways? So shouldn't that mean that these people would be more apt to be religious? Oh wait.... I forgot they are all atheists too.
He must be gay...should have fun in prison after protecting these criminals.
