EU Limits Livestock Emissions
Why? Why else? To combat global warming, of course. The European Union has recently passed legislation demanding that animals diets be changed, their gas collected and manure recycled in order to curb the effects of global warming. “The livestock sector presents the greatest threat to the planet,” they noted in an official statement. This is in response to a UN report that says livestock farming produces 18% of greenhouse gases while the human element accounts for just 14%.
Well, those in Europe have lost their minds.
How much further will we the people bend over in order to accommodate a theory that is weak at best? Sure, lets be responsible and not pollute, conserve energy and be conscious of how we effect the environment around us...after all, these steps can lead to more efficient living monetarily. However, using plastic bags, driving a non-hybrid car or simply passing gas does not make us evil or contribute to the end of the world.
Your word...

WTF? quit attacking every little piece of law that comes about as an idea to reverse global warming. It is a proven science, what is harder to prove is what we should do to fight it. This is where ideas like this come in. What hurts the process in when people like yourself decide to tear it apart before we give it a legitimate shot at possibly working.
WTF Jayson? Get your facts straight. The amount of "deadly methane" that livestock produce is negligible compared to the amount released by the Earth itself. There are deposits of methane below the sea in nearly every part of the world. Large quantities daily are released into the atmosphere in astronomical proportions. Thanks for your concern, but I think the livestock doesn't really mind that their diet is a little gassy. If you really want to do something about a gassy diet, try starting with the school cafeteria.
I agree with jayson! This is a proven science and bashing it won't help stop our global warming efforts to stop it. Yes, what the europians are doing to prevent emissions is a little extrvagant but at least their trying to help with the greenhouse effect. :)
