Consequences of Cho Seung Hui

While this is a tragic event that has and will plague everyone nationwide, especially those connected to Virginia Tech, there are repercussions in the works that will continue to effect Americans in their daily lives.

The main issue that has come up is gun control…again. We saw this phenomenon following the events at Columbine, where liberal politicians do what they do best: Latch onto horrific events and loss of life to play for political advantage. By using disasters like Virginia Tech, Columbine, even hurricanes (something we have no control over), liberals politicians attempt to give the government more power, limits our rights and push their agendas as solutions that will prevent similar events in the future.

For the record, banning guns, limiting CO2 emissions or whatever else government libs feel like implementing in order to protect us from ourselves are simply measures that give them more power and hamstring the American people. We know this.

There is a larger issue at hand here. Instead of condemning and showing no tolerance for Cho Seung Hui’s actions, we are presenting his story to the American people and talking of what may have caused him to do this or what law enforcement and the university did wrong that day. Where is the outrage? Show people that this type of message via death and chaos will not stand in our society.

Most people will say that those points should go without saying, but consider this. Now we have the next kid in line watching a story all over the media that resembles his situation. He sees how someone got their message out to the masses by going out in a “blaze of glory,” and now the ideas begin flow through his head. Cho Seung Hui is now a role model for those who are also lost in life…a predecessor of sorts.

Bottom line: Condemn and show no tolerance for these actions and their results/consequences. Do now allow liberals to expand his rampage onto the rest of us. Will bad things like this happen again? Yes, most certainly, but do not allow that fact to enable the likes of Cho Seung Hui and others to change who we are and how we live.

We should be looking into what caused him to do this...are YOU nuts? How else could we possibly figure out how to prevent these things in the future? Had we known beforehand, we would have prevented this and helped this kid out.

The fact is that the signs WERE there before hand and the school new about it. The school was brought to the attention of this matter by many students and faculty yet NOTHING was done to prevent this tragedy. I blame the administration of the school for having disturbing knowledge of this individual and not doing a thing to help him.
