Raped of their Innocence

Mike Nifong has finally cracked, and I can guaruntee you he isnt happy about it. An interview on Thursday with the alleged victim by investigators revealed that she "could not testify with certainty that she was raped."

Wow, what a case breaker. As a result, D.A. Nifong has now dropped the charges of rape for the 3 Duke lacrosse players. The charges of kidnapping and sexual assault still stand...how long before they are dropped, or will a trial have to go, further harming these boys? Another question: why have these student athletes been dragged through several months worth of negative media attention and unnecessary court proceedings to only have the victim come forward and say that she isnt so sure now whether or not she had been raped.

She should be charged criminally now, along with Mike Nifong. Everyone knew this was a weak case as soon as all the evidence started coming back PROVING she was not raped by these individuals. On top of that, Nifongs investigators admitted that he withheld critial DNA evidence that also proved the boy's innocence.

My point: Any woman (stripper/prostitute or not) should not be able to get away with wrongly accusing 3 innocent student athletes, leading to their names being completely destroyed (remember, this isn't the first time she has falsely accused men of raping her). On top of that, an irresponsible and dishonest District Attorney should not be able to get away with hiding evidence that hurts his case, then continually pursues these boys with no evidence whatsoever other than the testimony of this sorry excuse for a woman.

These two have stolen from these boys, and we should be just as introlerant of it as we are of rape.
